
Javier Preciozzi
Javier graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidad de la República, Uruguay, in 2002. He received his Ph.D. from UdeLaR, specializing in satellite image processing (2016, Uruguay). He holds a Master's degree in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from ENS Cachan (France, 2005) and a Master's degree in Computer Science (Uruguay, 2006). He has been involved in image processing, computer vision, and machine learning projects since 2004 and has been an active part of the production of over 80 scientific publications.
As CTO of the Uruguayan National Civil Identification Agency, he led significant projects such as the integration of the AFIS system, the implementation of electronic identification cards (eID), and the deployment of electronic passports. He has been an independent ICT consultant for Identity Management and Biometrics Systems in various countries. Additionally, as an Associate Professor at the Universidad de la República, Uruguay, he shares his knowledge in Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
