About Intuition Robotics

Intuition Robotics develops AI companions designed to help older adults live more independently. It has raised over $58M in funding by creating ElliQ, an empathetic digital companion to empower older adults to live happier, healthier, and more independent lives at home.

ElliQ offers companionship and sets reminders for medication, healthy habits, and even light entertainment. It focuses on improving the well-being and reducing loneliness of the elderly living at home.

The Challenge

ElliQ provides companionship and support to enhance the lives of seniors. To ensure the appropriate interaction with the people within the room, the system required a person detector model that can distinguish real individuals from people seen on television or in photographs.

The Solution

Our team developed a robust model that excels at distinguishing real persons from depictions on TV screens and/or in photos, enabling ElliQ to interact in a meaningful and appropriate manner.

We have also optimized the model for hardware efficiency. It runs seamlessly on the embedded processor, allowing it to share resources with other system functions without compromising performance.
